University visit and careers fair 2011
February 2011, Kusuma Trust Gibraltar working in partnership with the Department of Education invited three top University representatives from the UK to give presentations to Year 12 students on the UCAS application process and the requirements necessary for entry in their own institutions. The Universities included; Oxford University, The University of York and Imperial College. All three universities discussed the positives of their particular institution as well as the benefits of university life. This was supported with a presentation from Sophia Baig, a first year student studying Physics at Imperial College. The university representatives, often involved in the enrolment process, also spent a day with the students in workshop sessions which focused upon writing personal statements and how to improve interview technique.
“In particular the 'interview' workshops on Wednesday morning were extremely helpful and we have had excellent feedback from the students.” Bayside school
