Visitors from the Cambridge Millennium Outreach Programme visited Gibraltar to give students workshops on Mathematics. The highlight of the workshops were giving students the chance to see an authentic World War 2 Enigma Machine.  The machine that inspired real life James Bond Plot is extremely rare as the majority of them were destroyed or lost when Nazi Germany lost the war. James Grimes who accompanied the code breaking machine, explained to students the history of the Enigma Machine and the work of Britains codebreakers at Bletchley Park during World War 2. James also gave students a workshop on the art of codebreaking – Inspiring students to view maths in a whole new light !
