• AWARDING EXCELLENCE

Kusuma Trust Gibraltar is proud to announce that two exceptional candidates have been benefactors of this year’s Kusuma Fine/Performing Arts Excellence scholarship.

Nathan Payas is one such recipient of the award and has been given a scholarship to enable him to a study at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where he hopes to become more engaged in the world of opera and establish his already astounding career as an opera singer.

Sixteen year old Jordan Picardo is also a 2011 Kusuma Trust arts scholarship receiver, despite being so young Jordan has shown that he excels in the area of dance and that he has the determination to reach his professional goals, by having been accepted into the world acclaimed English National Ballet School, the Trust is confident that the scholarship will help Jordan attain his dream to be a professional dancer .

The Fine/Arts Scholarship is usually restricted to one award but the independent panel found itself faced with very difficult choices and outstanding talent.

The Excellence Scholarship Scheme is aimed primarily at certain sciences, mathematics, medicine and business studies at institutions the Trust approves as being amongst the finest top ranking.

Kusuma Trust Gibraltar will again in September and in 2012 sponsor visits from universities to Gibraltar schools to provide advice and encouragement to students.
