AC Grayling gave an electrifying first Kusuma Trust Lecture at the Gibraltar Literature Festival.  ‘Friendship Among Friends’ Grayling reflected on the nature of friendship in ethical life and on the rich traditions of friendship in human life.  In the hour lecture Grayling gave an  interesting, engaging and funny  examination on the history of friendship in literature and philosophy. The lecture was extremely successful with a sold out audience.

Another new edition to the 2014 Gibraltar Literary Festival was the addition of the Schools Festival supported by Kusuma. The Schools Festival was planned specifically for the secondary schools students by the Department of Education and The Literary Festival organisers. 22 major speakers gave lectures and talks to secondary school students. Speakers included International singing star and actress Patti Boulaye on “How to Fulfil Your Potential ” Popular science writer Chris Lloyd on “How the Brain Evolved”  and Booker Prize winning novelist Ben Okri. The Kusuma Trust  facilitated in the purchase of all the speakers books for schools.
