Esha Malkani:
'The Kusuma Grant has helped me financially; to meet my university fees, purchase of books and materials, accommodation and other living expenses. As a result of this I have not had to take up a part time job to fund my expenses, thereby helping me channel my time and resources towards my education, for which I’m extremely grateful to the trustees of the Kususma Trust.
Furthermore, this has also set me thinking and has inspired me to help out students, in the future, aspiring for further education by helping them out financially or in any other way. '
Naomi Licud:
‘Being in receipt of the Kusuma scholarship has allowed me to go the extra mile. It has helped me economically which has meant that I have been able to devote more time to my studies. I have really appreciated the help and I would like to take this opportunity that I have been given to help others. As I now have no financial pressures, instead of looking for paid employment during the summer months I would like to devote this time to voluntary community work to help the disadvantaged. Also I can get more involved in University Life, whilst still striving to get the higher grades that I need to advance my future career.’
